ECHIQEO

ECHIQEO is a vibrant chess club located in Fontenay-sous-Bois, France, dedicated to nurturing chess enthusiasts of all ages. Guided by the philosophy that “If not all artists are chess players, all chess players are artists” (Marcel Duchamp), the club offers a range of activities including courses for children, teenagers, and adults, as well as free and friendly chess sessions. Notably, ECHIQEO’s professor, Guillaume Brigot, achieved a remarkable victory against Rana Bakhshi, the 2024 U10 French Champion, at the Val-de-Marne Departmental Championship. The club also hosts masterclasses, such as those by International Master James Eden, focusing on the strategic brilliance of renowned players like Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. ECHIQEO is an active participant in the Interclubs Départemental N5 and provides valuable resources through its online store and educational videos.
