L'Echiquier du Lac Enghien

L’Echiquier du Lac Enghien, located in Enghien-les-Bains, France, meets at the Maison des Associations, 14-16 avenue de la Division Leclerc, 95880 Enghien-les-Bains. The club gathers every Saturday and Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, including during school holidays. Known for its picturesque view of Lac d’Enghien, the club claims to be the “Best chess club in France.” It actively participates in interclub championships, such as the Nationale 2 and Nationale 4 divisions, and the Coupe de France. The club organizes tactical exercises to enhance members’ calculation skills and hosts home matches. Membership is available, including for youth, and the club is led by a President who is also a qualified arbiter. L’Echiquier du Lac Enghien values elegance and distinction, known as “la classe enghiennoise,” and encourages the development of new arbiters.
