Les Tours des Hauts de France (THF) – St Quentin is a prominent chess club located in Saint-Quentin, France. The club meets regularly at Espace Matisse, 1 rue Gautier, 02100 Saint-Quentin, with sessions on Tuesdays from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM and Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. It offers a variety of programs, including beginner courses on Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, taught by a FFE-certified instructor, and advanced courses. The club is also known for its “Les échecs pour réussir” (Chess for Success) youth program, which reaches approximately 1000 young people in local schools. THF organizes numerous events such as Opens, Competitions, Youth events, Rapid Tournaments, and Simultaneous exhibitions. Notably, the club’s Team 1 became National Champions of France N1 in March 2025, and the women’s team achieved promotion to Top12 in June 2024. The club will host its 6th Open from July 5 to July 11, 2025, at Palais de Fervaques, featuring a 9-round tournament with significant prize offerings.
