Schachgemeinschaft Kirchlengern 1991 is a welcoming chess club located in Kirchlengern, Germany. Established in 1991, the club offers a friendly environment for chess enthusiasts to engage in various chess activities. Regular club evenings are held every Wednesday from 6 PM at the Erich Kästner-Gesamtschule, Schulbibliothek. The club organizes a Blitz Chess Championship and a Rapid Chess Championship, alternating every two weeks, and hosts annual Challenger- and Champions-Cups with longer thinking times. Additionally, a monthly “Theme Evening” explores two pre-selected openings. The club fields at least two teams in league play and maintains an up-to-date DWZ-list for its players. Guests and potential new team members are warmly welcomed.
