Schachverein Erzgebirge Stollberg

Schachverein Erzgebirge Stollberg is a welcoming chess club located in Stollberg/Erzgebirge, Germany. Founded in 2013 from the merger of SV Neuoelsnitz and SV Tanne Thalheim, the club has grown to 41 members and actively participates in the Schachverband Sachsen e.V. league system. The club fields four men’s teams and one youth team (U20) in competitive play, with plans to introduce a U16 team next season. Members enjoy a variety of internal tournaments and events, including section tournaments, blitz tournaments, and club championships. The club also offers high-level training sessions and game analyses. Regular club evenings for adults and members are held every Wednesday at 5:30 PM, with youth training starting at 5:00 PM at the Stollberger Begegnungszentrum “Das Dürer.”
