SK 1950 Geisenheim is a welcoming chess club located in the picturesque Rheingau wine region of Geisenheim, Germany. Established in 1950, the club is home to two adult teams competing in District 8’s league play, with SK Geisenheim I in the Bezirksoberliga and SK Geisenheim III in the Bezirksklasse. The club boasts a vibrant youth section, actively engaging in both in-person and online training. Regular club evenings are held on Fridays at 7:00 PM, where guests are encouraged to join for blitz or rapid chess games. The club is currently crowdfunding for a clubhouse renovation, supported by the city of Geisenheim. An upcoming Schnellschach-Turnier is scheduled for March 13, 2026.
