SK Blauer Springer Paderborn 1926 e.V., also known as Schachzentrum Paderborn, is a prominent chess club in Paderborn, Germany, established in 1926. The club, affectionately called “Blaue Springer” (Blue Knights/Jumpers), offers a variety of activities including training for both beginners and advanced beginners, and hosts numerous tournaments such as club tournaments, rapid chess, blitz chess, Fischer-Random chess, and online rapid chess on Lichess. The club is also known for organizing the “Schachtürken-Cup” and a summer festival. Regular games nights are held every Friday from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The club has achieved notable successes, including a 5th place finish for the U16 team at the German Club Championships and a 2nd place finish for the U20 team in the U20-NRW-Jugendliga Ost. Training sessions for beginners are held on Mondays and Tuesdays, while advanced beginners train on Wednesdays.
