Schachklub Landau 1908 e.V., located in Landau in der Pfalz, Germany, is one of the largest chess clubs in Rheinland-Pfalz. The club is open to guests and offers opportunities to play blitz or rapid chess games. It fields seven teams in regular league play and several in the junior league, competing in various leagues such as the 1.Rheinland-Pfalz-Liga and 1.Pfalzliga. Notable achievements include Jonas Roth’s U18 Palatinate Championship and IM Stephan Becking’s victory in the New Year’s Eve Blitz tournament. The club hosts the annual Landauer Schulschachmeisterschaft and a monthly blitz tournament. Regular club afternoons are held every Saturday at the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium, welcoming all chess enthusiasts.
