Schachklub Neumarkt e.V. is a welcoming chess club located in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, Germany. With over 150 members ranging from ages 6 to over 80, the club offers a vibrant community for chess enthusiasts. Approximately half of the members are youths and children under 20, highlighting the club’s commitment to fostering young talent. The club fields four adult teams and one U20 youth team for various competitions and championships. Members and guests can enjoy a variety of activities, including blitz and rapid chess games, diverse tournaments, and social events such as grill parties and bowling tournaments. The club’s playing venue is at Gesindehaus Woffenbach, Bühlerstr. 3a, with senior meet-ups every Tuesday from 2 PM to 5 PM, and club nights for youth and adults every Friday. Guests are always welcome on Friday club nights.
